About the Programs

BBS stands for Bachelor of Business Studies. It is a 4-year undergraduate degree program that covers accounting, finance, marketing, management, organizational behavior, business law, and entrepreneurship. BBS is offered by Tribhuvan University (TU) and Purbanchal University (PU) in Nepal and is one of the most popular management degrees in the country.
MBS stands for Master of Business Studies. It is a 2-year postgraduate (master-level) program that provides advanced knowledge in strategic management, financial management, research methodology, organizational behavior, marketing strategy, and business policy. MBS requires a bachelor's degree for admission.
BBS is a 4-year program, typically structured into semester-based or annual examinations depending on the awarding university.
MBS is a 2-year (4 semesters) postgraduate program, ending with a thesis or research project and comprehensive examination.
BBS (Bachelor of Business Studies) and BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration) are different programs under different universities. BBS is offered under TU/PU and is widely recognized across Nepal. BBA is offered by certain private universities and follows a different curriculum. Both are valuable — the right choice depends on your goals and university preference.

Eligibility & Admission

Any student who has passed Class 12 (+2) in any stream — Science, Management, Humanities, or other recognized boards — with minimum 45% marks or D+ grade is eligible for BBS. Students waiting for their +2 results may also apply provisionally.
MBS is open to students who have completed a bachelor's degree in any discipline (BBS, BBA, B.Com, BA, B.Sc, etc.) from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks or 2nd Division.
Yes. MBS is well-suited for working professionals. Our program structure accommodates students who are currently employed. Timetables can be arranged to fit around work commitments. Your professional experience is actually an advantage in MBS coursework.
Yes. BBS is open to students from any +2 stream including Science, Management, and Humanities. You do not need to have studied Management in Class 11 and 12 to join BBS.
